Good to know
A few things are worth knowing before you get dressed.
Dress for grass
Ceremonies are held outdoors on grass, gravel, or packed earth depending on the site. Block heels and flats fare far better than stilettos, and plenty of guests bring a second pair for the reception.
Weather has a plan B
There is conditioned indoor space on site, and the call gets made by the morning of. Either way, the day happens.
Arrive a little early
Plan to be parked fifteen to thirty minutes before the ceremony. Late arrivals will be held on the driveway until the ceremony has finished.
No outside alcohol
Guests are not permitted to bring their own. The bride and groom will have either chosen an alcohol-free wedding or will be serving alcohol at the bar.
Bar service
All alcohol is served by licensed bartenders, so please leave your own at the hotel. If you are drinking, line up a ride before the night ends.
Photos
Follow the couple's lead on phones during the ceremony. Many ask for an unplugged ceremony so the photographer has a clear aisle.
Questions guests ask
Can I leave my car overnight?
No. We host weddings back to back and the entrance is gated, so every car needs to leave with you. If you plan to drink, arrange a ride or a designated driver before the day.
Is the venue accessible?
Parking, the indoor space, and the restrooms are accessible, and we can drive guests with limited mobility straight to the ceremony site. Tell the couple or the coordinator ahead of time and a cart will be waiting.
Will there be cell service?
Yes. Coverage is good across the property, so you can call, text, and pull up directions from anywhere on site.
Are children welcome?
That is the couple's call — check your invitation. If your kids are invited, you are responsible for monitoring them at all times.
What if I am running late?
Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony to allow enough time to park and get to the ceremony site before it begins. If you arrive after the ceremony has started, you will need to wait until it has finished to park and join the reception.
While you are in town
You are at the meeting point of Lookout Mountain, the Chickamauga Battlefield, and downtown Chattanooga. If you are here for the weekend, these are the reasons to stay an extra day.
