Everything you need to know.

From your first tour to your last dance — the steps, the answers, and the details, all in one place.

How it works

Four simple steps to "I do."

No mystery, no pressure. Here's exactly how booking Covey Creek works, start to finish.

i

Tour the venue

Come see the property in person. Visits are by appointment — the gate stays locked and you can't see us from the road.

ii

Choose your date

Check available dates and your package. The first to request a date and pay the reservation fee is first in line.

iii

Sign & reserve

Sign the contract and pay a $1,000–$3,000 reservation fee (applied to your total) to lock in your day.

iv

Plan with us

Pay the balance in monthly installments, lean on our team and open houses, and count down to the celebration.

01

Booking & payment

How much is required to reserve a date, and are payment plans available?
When you sign your contract, a reservation fee of $1,000–$3,000 (depending on package) is due to hold your date — and it's applied to your total. The remaining balance is split into monthly installments, paid in full 60–90 days before your wedding. For dates booked less than 5 months in advance, the reservation fee may be higher or full payment may be due at booking.
How do I reserve my date?
Fill out our reserve-your-date form and we'll begin the contract process. The first person to request a date and pay the booking fee is first in line for it. We recommend booking a tour first, though it isn't required.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, or electronic bank transfer (ACH) are preferred. Credit cards are also accepted with a 3% convenience fee.
What's the rental fee, and what's included?
Every package includes the full property, your ceremony site, the conditioned reception space, both getting-ready suites, and our team for setup and cleanup. See our pricing & packages page for the three tiers and exactly what each includes — all published, with no hidden fees.
02

Your wedding day

How many guests can you accommodate?
Up to 160 guests. We cap it there on purpose — so there's always room to hold your ceremony indoors in case of rain, without having to flip the venue mid-day.
What happens if it rains?
You're covered. A conditioned indoor space is always ready as your rain plan, and because we keep guest counts at 160 or below, we can move your ceremony inside without flipping the room — so the day keeps flowing either way.
Do you require a day-of coordinator?
Yes — we require a professional day-of coordinator approved by Covey Creek. You're welcome to bring your own, or choose one of our in-house coordination options, which couples love since our team knows the venue best.
What decor is available?
Every package includes access to our in-house decor collection, and our team can help you style it to bring your vision to life. See the full decor collection for what's on hand.
03

Food & drink

Can we cater the wedding ourselves?
To avoid the common pitfalls of DIY catering, we require a professional licensed and insured caterer (or a restaurant that caters). Caterers must provide full service — setup, monitoring, cleanup of the food and prep areas, and taking out the first round of trash after dinner. If your caterer doesn't offer full service, you can hire our staff to handle those duties instead.
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes! If you'd like to serve alcohol, you'll purchase a bartending package from us — you can provide your own alcohol. Beer, wine, and hard liquor are all welcome, though we don't serve shots. We don't allow outside bartending services; our team knows the venue and keeps the night running smoothly and safely.
04

The essentials

Do you require event insurance?
Yes. A $1M event insurance policy (listing Covey Creek Farm as additionally insured) protects you financially throughout the process. It typically runs around $225, depending on your party size and options.
Can I just stop by the venue?
Other than our public open houses, visits are by appointment only — the gate stays locked and the venue isn't visible from Cloud Springs Road. Please schedule a time and we'll show you around.
Where do we get a marriage license?
The venue is in Catoosa County, Georgia, and anyone — regardless of home state or county — may obtain a license at the courthouse in Ringgold, GA. Georgia residents may also use their home county. Many Tennessee residents can obtain a license in TN even though the ceremony is in GA, but rules vary, so please confirm with your local clerk of courts.
What dates are available?
You can see all of our open dates on the available dates page, updated as the calendar fills.
A quick note on marriage licenses: we're not legal experts and rules can change. The guidance above is a starting point — always verify the current requirements with your county of residence and the issuing courthouse.
